part one.
firstly, can we just address the time-warp that is october through to january 5th? no matter what year we are in, the last quarter of the year and the first two weeks of the year is one big, exciting, stressful, overwhelming, exciting and exhausting kerfuffle.
i have a lot to address so please, grab a drink. usually i’d go for a nice crisp white wine or chilled rosé, but today, i’m suggesting a green juice, just because…health.
let’s do a quick wrap on the end of 2024 because quite honestly i myself am getting sick of the re-caps. but to summarise, i experienced severe burnout back in november which quite literally made me second guess my entire life. it’s funny how life takes you from doing what you love, to doing something because you need a roof over your head and to eat. then, you end up getting really good at that thing that was supposed to only be temporary and eight years later, you realise you’re flying through life and not in a ‘feel like a bird’ way - more like a ‘where the fuck did the time go, it was literally just 2020’. anyways, after that shit show of a month, i quit my corporate job, and corporate girly life - for good. and if you’re thinking good on you, now you can relax - umm no. the days that followed seemed oddly strange. i was full of anxiety and was trying to figure out how i was going to make my next move.
after a few weeks of taking time off, prior to the christmas/festive season rush, i stumbled across my old art diary, which was more of an ode to fashion than an ‘art’ diary. back when i was fresh out of high school and straight in to fashion business school, i was buying fashion magazines like they were going out of print. from here, i’d run to officeworks and buy myself those large A3 spiral art diaries, rip pages out and paste ‘moods’ or ‘stories’ on each page. i specifically remember one page being all about new york, street style fashion, models and effortless style. this is what really fuelled my love for new york and even more so, fashion. after flipping through the entire book, i decided to take some photo’s on my phone to remind me just how creative i was almost 15 years ago in my youth, and to never let that creativity go.
fast forward late november - just as i was about to eat and drink my way in to the festive season - i decided to launch my side hustle. for the last few years, i have been freelancing with brands both startup and established in the fashion and beauty space. i had always wanted to start a company that took care of all the concept creation, product development, sourcing, production, packaging design and shipping for brands that wanted to start a fashion accessory brand or exisiting brands that wanted to add eyewear, jewellery or a line of bags to their apparel offering. with over 10 years of industry experience, especially in design development, concept creation, merchandising and manufacturing, i felt in my soul that it was time to go live - officially. so on november 23rd, i launched créma agency.

the way you feel when you are able to launch a business against the work you have been doing for years, and to finally have something of your own, in both a professional and creative capacity is honestly the best way to end the year - and start the new year.
a little bit about créma. we’re born in sydney australia and we’re here to make your life that much easier. most of my clients at the moment have actually engaged créma to assist them in the concept creation, design and development of upcoming styles in their ranges. for them, their business is their side hustle, so they don’t have time to talk to china, india, ecuador, review cads, packing lists and make sure the critical paths are adhered too. enter créma agency.

as we came to a close on 2024, i look back on the year with such a range of emotions. for créma agency, this was a long time in the making and i hate that it took corporate burnout for me to finally be pushed into something i should have started years ago. but hey, that’s life. when one door pushes you out and slams shut, another door unlocks (but you still have to turn the knob and open it). looking back on créma’s 2024, creating product for estée lauder and sephora australia were just some key moments that i will never forget. i’m here to work with you on your side hustle or new business around the world, or your established brand looking to branch out into another category. reach out and let’s create magic together.
here’s to 2025, and an abundance of opportunities, for all of us.
part two will be published following this post, and we’re diving head first in to work / life balance and #girlboss era.
Ciao for now.
